Examples in Nutrition and Meal Socialization
One of the ways we hope to make a difference in the high cost of childcare is to offer valued benefits to the families that we serve. There is no additional cost for meals provided at Just Like GRAMMY & POPPOP’S. We offer breakfast, lunch, and two snacks throughout the day for those children eating table foods. Our menus are published in advance so children can opt out and bring their own food if they need to accommodate special diets or preferences.
Socialization
Dining together is a common practice that we encourage at Just Like GRAMMY & POPPOP’S. Our team members will dine with the children at their table and eating the same food.
Cleanliness
Our meal maker team is trained in food prep, cooking, and service where all meet food safety and Wisconsin licensing guidelines. We embrace cleanliness in all ways. Our kitchen is sanitized and cleaned with strict standards.
We plan and prepare our meals according to the guidelines of the USDA although we do not participate in the USDA reimbursement program. Serving sizes will match age-appropriate amounts as outlined in the guidelines.
